How to play
The Wiki Game is a race through Wikipedia. You get a start article and a target article, and you reach the target by clicking only the links inside the articles.
Rules
- You start on a Wikipedia article, and your target is shown at the top of the screen.
- Tap a link inside the article to jump to that article.
- Reach the target article in as few clicks as possible.
- Going back to the previous article counts as a click.
- Each level allows up to 50 clicks.

- How does scoring work?
- In levels, the fewer clicks you need, the more points you earn. Points unlock new worlds: world 2 at 1,000 points and world 3 at 2,500 points.
- What is the daily challenge?
- Every day at 00:00 UTC a new start and target pair goes live. Everyone plays the same pair, and the daily leaderboard ranks players by clicks. Winning on consecutive days builds a streak.
- What are keys?
- In levels and Journey, a key reveals the best known path and guides you to the target step by step. You earn keys with daily streaks, and the mobile apps also sell them.
- Which languages can I play in?
- You can play in English, Hebrew, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and Arabic. Each language uses its own Wikipedia, and the game itself is translated too.
- Is The Wiki Game free?
- Yes, the game is free to play. The mobile apps offer an optional Premium upgrade with in-page search, unlimited going back and no ads.
- Is The Wiki Game made by Wikipedia?
- No. The Wiki Game is an independent game. It uses Wikipedia articles, which are available under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
